Introducing Our Temple Chiropractors

I'd given up and thought that I'd have to live with the pain.

Let me tell you what happened. After I got out of the Navy in 1992, I used the G.I. Bill to go to college. I was attending the University of Wisconsin-EauClaire. At the time, I was studying to be a geologist. To burn off some nervous energy the night before a particularly difficult final exam, I went for a run with my roommate. As we were running at the school track we came upon a sand-pit where the school track team practices their running long jumps. Being competitive young men we decided to challenge each other to see who could jump the farthest. I landed awkwardly while jumping and immediately had incredible low back pain.
The pain was so bad that I could barely even get up! I did eventually manage to get back to my dorm room but was unable to sleep that night due to the pain. I ended up taking all of my final exams that week hunched over the desk in agony! Being young, I was still under the illusion that I was invincible. read more»

When I was twelve years old, I was five years into my baseball career and experiencing some inhibiting elbow pain.
My parents took my younger brother and me to a chiropractor for treatment; I was diagnosed with tendonitis and successfully treated in a timely manner. I continued to play baseball through a four year stint at the college level. I never forgot about chiropractic and utilized a local chiropractor to help treat various injuries I sustained over the years.
Before I graduated from Howard Payne University in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology, I spoke with my guidance counselor about the possibility of attending medical school, or perhaps becoming a Pharmacist. She mentioned chiropractic, and it brought back all the memories of how I had been helped over the years. I looked into Parker University, was accepted and began a life-changing journey.

I always knew I wanted to help people stay healthy.
I considered many different health fields before deciding to major in Psychology at Brigham Young University, with intentions of becoming a therapist.
In 2005, I met the love of my life, Mandy. We saw each other from across the room and were married 8 months later.
Mandy suffered from migraines her entire life. She tried many different over-the-counter and prescription medications. Sometimes the drugs helped with the pain, but the migraines always came back. Nothing seemed to help with the actual cause of her migraines, or to prevent them from returning.
One day, early into our marriage, while teaching at an elementary school, Mandy developed a migraine so bad that she had to leave her classroom and lie down in the nurse’s office. She called me and said that she was in too much pain to drive herself home. She was also nauseous, dizzy, and her vision was getting blurry. I picked her up from school and drove her home.
